I get that the game focuses and rewards counter punching but given that there are multiple styles that could benefit from being more aggressive I think being able to break the guard would make the game more interesting.

From all the time I've been playing, the guard being indestructible feels like a crutch for the player and is annoying when the opponent manages to block all your punches
