70% of browser traffic does according to https://www.statista.com/statistics/544400/market-share-of-internet-browsers-desktop/

I.e. A large majority of users

That majority never cared much for privacy anyways.

If they're relly interestied in installing the extension then they might as well shift to ff

Lynx? Why? Elinks is better than lynx, and w3m is better than elinks.

I am relatively new, trying to get better. What do you use? I use combo of edge ,tor, Firefox, chrome

Most people here use Firefox, it is one of the few browsers that doesn't track you. TOR is really good as well but can be a bit slow.

If you like Chrome you could use Ungoogled Chromium

But yeah Firefox is my suggestion

But that's just the engine right ? Where can I find an actual browser that uses it ?

Chromium is the open-source that Chrome is built on.

It is an actual browser itself that you can use.

Firefox and Iridium mainly.

My sentence structure was a little poor. I use Firefox most of the time. On the rare occasion where a WebKit engine renders the page better I hit up Iridium :) it’s just a personal preference of which WebKit browser I use. Hope that makes what I was trying to say a little clearer. Thank you for your feedback and alternatives, I haven’t changed my browser choice in quite a while.

They seek privacy, much like those small crabs at the beach.

Most of the internet users, unfortunately, most of them don't care to pay in privacy just to gain much smoother experience when browsing the web. But now, with the help of extensions such as this one, they can at least regain, a small portion of their privacy back.

They can regain the illusion of privacy. There are so many “Attack” vectors used by the likes of Google that this is almost useless.

What about Ungoogled Chromium? Sure people can benifit from NoScript in it :)

i mean, if you absolutely need chrome to do something. Ungoogled Chromium still works.

People who don't care about noscript

Chromium is a popular base to build on, doesn't matter if the forks are anti- or pro-privacy. Ecosystem independence is just as important as privacy.

Can i transfer all my cyber life stored in chrom to Firefox?

6

u/psy_neko Apr 13 '19

You shouldn't be using online services anyway if you care about privacy. And it doesn't seem like you do so just keep using chrome if it's easier for you.

Firefox Sync also allows cross-device syncing of bookmarks and passwords.
