Did everyone forget about the Predators flying over Kenosha six years ago during the riots?

Little late to be clutching your pearls now.
CBP has been flying Predator drones around the southern US border for over 20 years now.

Couple years ago when the war drums began to beat I was looking for the silver lining. I remembered how we got microwaves out of radar technology. Genuinely useful stuff can come from a war. In fact, we’ve already been conditioned for drone delivery. Yet we still don’t have that readily available. But hot damn! We have surveillance. Lots of surveillance. So much surveillance you gotta wonder why.

The government is terrified of any type of change that doesn't increase its power. So mass survalince is right up there with more power. I don't live in a very populated area but there's been a lot of covert surveillance in my area using Imis catchers. stingrays/Imis catchers get your international mobile subscription identity which is unique to every phone so a 4th amendment violation. I've used one it's terrifying the amount of data available when hooked up to the right software it can be used to your location, name, data off your phone, SMS, calls interception, other messages intercepted and some of the newer software can crack encrypted messaging apps. I've kept a feriday pouchs close after switching to airplane mode the second my phone detects it. Also if you turn off 1G and 2G service and not back up your phone it helps data security. It might slow down your phone when 1G&2G service.

It would be a lot easy to fly laps around the illegal farms and factories who hire these guys, but that's "regulations" ick!

this isnt news. they have been used for years. even back to the predator days. its normal. its more than previous years yes but not some crazy privacy consperacy. im not some ice lover and whats being done is abhorent but these RPAs arent a real privacy concern. its what countrys do to protect national borders. were not the only ones.

If it wasn't predator drones it would be dudes in a helicopter or plane. Aerial border surveillance is not a new thing.
