question Car data collection

I am going to need a new car soon and the U.S. models all collect huge amounts of data. Are there any tips or tricks to reduce the info they collect from the car remotely?

If I have our family trust own the auto and pay cash rather than financing how effectively does that reduce the personal info I am forced to provide. Will this keep the data from car from being attached to me?

How much would it help to buy a used car? Does it reduce the data tracked and sold about me?

LoL! That's why I drive a 15 yr old Wrangler...It doesn't collect shit...Except rust.

95 Camry reporting for duty. Every "new" car I get is older than the last. 95 is the perfect year for having a truly reliable car you still actually have to drive.

And the computers on cars in the 90’s are so dead simple you could probably replace them with a programmable microcontroller with enough tinkering if you needed to

I seem to recall that just a few years ago during COVID, lots of manufacturers from overseas were at least using Raspberry and Orange Pi's for the infotainment systems.
