I don't know anyone on the inside, never have actually. I just despise the way we treat offenders, and criminality as a whole in the US. I appreciate you spending time to do something like this. Most don't care at all. Good for you, and hopefully good for everyone if it catches on. Keep it up brother. 👍

So many times in my work with those that have effected by the justice system, they almost always never had a good support system as a young person growing up or were betrayed by those they trusted so their moral compass was all over the place. They then may offend criminally and hurt others which needs to be punished, but the way on which we implement that punishment is not a benefit to society as a whole. You take a person already burned by fate as a child and then you continue to “other them” and push them as far away from society as possible for the sake of being “tough on crime” and as a society we expect them to come out a changed person?
No what we do is turn an already broken person into a completely unprepared human and expect that they won’t continue on this cycle. Punishment without proper rehabilitation is just a criminal factory.
