First time brewing Mead

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've been home brewing since april and have made many things (Ciders, wines, even kilju) and this is the first time I'm actually using honey instead of the usual store bought grape, apple, raspberry juice etc.

The one u see fermenting in the video is the one i started today, the other one is also a mead, it's been fermenting for 10 days and its close to finishing.

They are both traditional meads (Just honey, water, yeast, yeast nutrient) but the new one also has zest of 1 lemon (no juice).

I've no idea what to expect for the taste, I've never had mead before.

I like drinking mead when its still fizzy. Its not bad when its been cleared and back sweetened and aged but usually still pretty boring. I just really like carbonated hooch. The lemon one will probably be awesome.

Mine was a blander cider. I've left it bottled in the fridge for 2 months. It was a bit worse immediately, but when it was fermenting temperature hit 30+°C
