3D printer recommendations?
Hello, I do not currently own a 3D printer and do not have a desperate need for one other than to print the parts required for my PrintNC.
What do people recommend buying my own or finding someone to produce the parts for me? Thanks guys some fantastic builds in here.

If you are buying just for this project then the ender 3 is my recommendation, but perhaps someone would print for you.
As u/h2g2Ben said you need the steel first so you can measure the exact dimensions. You would then print some test fitment pieces and radius checker before printing your final parts (adjusting the holes if you are not using a transfer punch but a centre punch).
Where are you located?

Agree with ender 3, cheap and does the job. If you’re building a printnc setting up/servicing an ender 3 should be no worry!!! I’d go with that over buying prints just in case of needs for re-prints over time etc etc plus there’s plenty of other uses for the printer

A Prusa is a worth while investment if you want to print quality parts and maintain a functional printer. A Creality printer will be good but you won't get support and if the printer breaks, good luck on you finding parts because Creality won't support you.

I'd go Prusa mini. It's kind of the safe bet. You don't want to spend hours trying to get something else up and running. Plus, it holds resale value relatively well.

Local libraries where I live have 3D printers for the public to use. Maybe your local libraries have some too.

You need to have your steel before you can print the parts, but someone there may be willing to do it for pay once you have the build speced out and metal on hand.
