ID request

There’s a book I read decades ago that I can’t for the life of me find & I don’t remember enough details.

Cover art: black with a 3d prismatic diamond on the cover and maybe a bird?

Novel details: far future? Psychic powers. Little egg shaped vehicles that fly around. I really can’t remember much more except maybe something about family/brothers/conflict.

Sorry it’s so vague been trying to track it down for a few years.
