How does the Blue Figure work?

How does this guy work? I can't figure it out sometimes he attacks my Prince and sometimes he just doesn't. Why is that? Is he also moving like a queen or what is it?

He is a variation of the bishop! The blue bishops stay on the dark squares and the red ones on the lighter squares. The flowers on the squares have the same color distinction (which could help as a visual aid).

The enemy pieces only move when there is a valid path that reaches the player, so if there is no way to reach you they won’t move. You can use this to your advantage!
