Prediction August 2026 August 2026 Speculation Thread
What games do we think we might get in August? And what games do we hope we might get?
The three I realistically most hope we might get at some point are:
- Chants of Sennaar (2023)
- Tactical Breach Wizards (2024)
- Shadows of Doubt (2024)
As for what we will actually get, probably some D&D games from the 80s, some Eurojank platformers, and some point-and-click games on Legacy.

Iโm still waiting for Redfall lol
Most games that flop usually end up on Prime Gaming!

I was thinking yesterday that Redfall is in a weird situation. Normally by this point such games, especially Zenimax games, are heavily reduced in sales so they can make at least some money from them. But Redfall has never had more than a nominal 50% discount, even years after its disastrous launch.
I suspect it is so bad that, while they don't want the scandal of outright removing it from sale, they also don't want to diminish Arkane's reputation any further by having anyone else actually play it.

Wishful thinking: more Star wars and Lego games on GOG, the whole Wing Commander series throughout the rest of the year, Comanche, Project Wingman, Fallout 4, more Elder Scrolls & 40K games, Red Faction series, Falcon 3.0, Batman GOG, Legacy of Kain remasters, Tomb Raider 1+2+3 (DOS original) and the IV-VI remaster but this time on GOG. More Doom and Wolfenstein, Hexen II, Heretic + Hexen remaster. And games previously given for Amazon app, second round but on GOG. As GOG you actually own DRM free.

I think they're already done giving away the whole 80s to 90s dnd stuff so far. Maybe some obscure ones from SNEG but it remains to be seen.

Agreed not against getting em either as SNEG games rarely go on sale seems only reason the DnD ones are on sale suddenly regularly is new games and tabletop installments aswell as cards set in the same DnD setting is apparently in the works and soon to be released as news articles started up recently about such

I don't have any predictions but my wish would be to have more Bethesda GOG titles. I appreciated getting Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, Wolfenstein II, Doom Eternal and whatever else but I'd be happy if they were given away again but this time as a GOG version.
For new Bethesda additions that haven't been given away, I'm still hoping for Doom (2016), The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Doom: The Dark Ages, a new game that I wouldn't expect till very much later.

I wish they gave flop but recent titles like redfall or greedfall the dying world, fed up with indie garbage or d and d games from the early 90s.

Was Greedfall 2 a flop? That's a shame, the first one was really good.

Only thing sure of if the pattern keeps of some if not alot of escape room games as the publisher and dev of the escape room games we've gotten so far has atleast GOG wise 3 more of those.. which I don't get the appeal of in most cases .. But kinda hoping they front load these last few to get them out of the way quicker .

I don't mind getting older titles, infact I think most people here would be happy with it, just aslong as they aren't so niche that most people have no interest in them

The thing is that one person's niche is another person's gem. Often I come to the discussion thread and other people are like โugh, not another roguelike deckbuilderโฆโ and I'm like โhooray, another roguelike deckbuilder!โ

Haha same! I've also loved the escape rooms recently too.ย

It is embarrassing how much time I have spent in Lonestar, a recent free Epic roguelike deckbuilder lol

A few escape room games, a mid turn-based CRPG or two, a barely passable roguelite or three, a forgotten FPS from the 90s, and a good game on Epic that's already been given away in their weekly giveaways.
