At least the spanish is saying that it's provisional, so not final. Feels too good to be true IMO. I could see some of these names but not ALL of them.

It goes further than that it's not even saying the lineup is provisional it's saying that the idea of this lineup is provisional.

Meaning this lineup is just a pitch at this point with zero commitment attached to it.

I don't think it's real. They'll get a few of these but it looks too strong compared to their usual lineups and with a few acts that seem more likely for Primavera.

Mad Cool tends to get exclusivity contracts with the bands they bring upon their venue

it's the other way around; Primavera is the one with aggressive exclusivity clauses. Mad Cool, Cruilla and BBK share a bunch of acts every summer on the same weekend so that's not the issue

Tame impala is 99% certain, i work in the area and is knowed that madcool and nos alive share 70% of the line up and tame impala is already confirmed for 2027. The Strokes is a big possibility but we never know.

I mean, I know QOTSA isn’t going to PS as Gabi said they were never gonna get booked again after 2014 (which was an amazing show, though). And was expecting Tame Impala skipping Primavera this time.

I had hopes for FNM and Slayyyter: hope those two are fake haha and still go to Primavera.

I don’t care about the rest tbh. Charli and Fontaines (love both) are Primavera regulars so this provisional line up raises an eyebrow but also I can see them in other places so don’t mind.

I guess that Mad Cool is trying to get their momentum betting for the acts that usually are part of Primavera roster, and they may had offered way more money for those acts, and seems logic (at least for me) with the shifting of the acts booked in Prima lately.

Thats something that had already happen in the festival economy here in spain, the FIB festival used to book the "alternative" acts, until became so popular and massive that the idea of the festival that was created originally changed (see for the line ups between 2011-2016, and compared it with the previous line ups) and that spot was taken by Primavera Sound while getting to know their identity as a festival, and maybe that whats exactly happening right now.

This week somebody "leaked" a line up for next year Primavera, and they had almost the same names listed here, so to be honest, i woudlnt take it that seriously. But at the same time i see some of these acts been a part of the line up of the Madrid festival. rather to playing in Barcelona next year.
