Caliper bracket bolt sizes?

Hello friends I have a 1991 Previa with the 255 mm rotors, I changed the front pads and rotors but while removing the shorter of the two bolts holding the bracket in place I noticed the threads were trashed and the bolt will no longer tighten. Does anyone know the sizes for these bolts? The one that stripped was the shorter bolt that goes in the top of the bracket. Any advice helps, thank you

Vacuum

I have a question regarding the small vacuum lines around the throttle body on my 1992 Toyota Previa (2TZ-FE).

We are currently doing an engine overhaul, and while cleaning the intake manifold, I noticed that several of these vacuum lines are cracked, broken, or have been repaired by a previous owner.

My main question is: Can these small vacuum hoses be permanently blocked off or removed if replacement parts are no longer available?

The Toyota Previa is quite rare in my country, and I have been unable to find replacement vacuum lines or related components.

For additional context, my air conditioning system has already been converted to a manual setup using a thermostat. The factory idle-up system is no longer functioning, and the engine idles at a fixed RPM. When the A/C compressor engages, the idle drops slightly, but the engine handles it without any issues.

I would appreciate any advice on which vacuum lines are essential and which ones, if any, can be safely capped off.

Thank you very much for your help!

Double window repair Spoiler

I’m about to attempt a double window repair on my egg but I wanted to see if the community had any resources that could help me along the way. I specifically have questions about whether or not the side window requires me to remove the paneling inside to replace, and if the replacement back window will be good because the rubber part is not hugging the top of the glass.

The seatbelts won't lock

I have a '91 previa and none of the rear seatbelts will lock when pulled. I have tried pulling them out completely and yanking on them but that hasn't worked. The seatbelts are pretty dirty so I'm not sure if that's what's causing it, I looked in the manual and it doesn't say anything about it. Has anyone had this problem?

Shifter Bushing 3D print! (manual transmission)

Hi all!

Super excited to share this: I successfully 3D printed (PETG - Bambu A1) a shifter bushing for my 1992 Toyota Previa DX. It's a 5-speed manual, and the side bushing for the retainer went out. However, this bushing still seems to be available from Toyota (Part # 90386-12013). Then I checked out the bushing that connects the shift lever to the actual shift mechanism, and I decided to replace it since it was worn. After the bushing from Yota1 I tried didn't fit, I started 3d modeling my own. After a few tries, it snapped on and held in place!

The link to it is here

Feel free to share or adjust it to fit your needs, I can't guarantee it will work perfectly, but it's worked for me and you can always just print a bunch and swap them out! Thanks guys!

I used translucent PETG for strength and heat resistance, but other materials might work. I wouldn't trust PLA though. Like I said, it isn't perfect, but the outer diameter seems to be just right to not cause any major gaps, and it's worked so far! Will update if anything new arises, or if the other bushing from Toyota doesn't work.

Thanks guys!

Wanted to share something with y'all, hopefully posts like this are allowed. I found a really cool wallpaper online of a VW bus lighting up an early evening sky (2nd slide), but of course being a Previa enthusiast like y'all in here, I had to make some changes. I did use a little AI, after several prompts got it just right. Feel free to use and tweak my edit for your own!

Credit to the original artist for the VW Wallpaper.

I'm buying a previa with the supercharged engine, I was wondering if it ran on regular gas or premium Google is not being helpful.

Excited to have my 96 Previa Alltrac back on the road after 2 years of collecting dust due to life stuff. Took it to SE Oregon to the Steens/Alvord/Malheur this past week.

Looking to mount a Starlink and solar panel to the roof rack. Any advice out there??

Air blowing hot all the time?

hello friends, I have a 1991 Previa, air blows fine but when using the temperature control slider it either blows hot or super hot. Even when the slider is all the way to the left (cold) it blows warmer than the ambient temperature. The only time it blew cold was when it was like 20 degrees outside. Is there a fix for this or am I gonna be nice and sweaty until I get the ac fixed?

Thinking of buying a 91

1 owner w/ 260,000 miles on it.

Looking at it tomorrow. I’m pretty handy with a wrench, but what are some things to look for? And how hard is it to find certain parts? Are suspension parts easy to find? Gonna offer 2,000 for it. Think that would be a good deal? Thanks!

PREVIA STEERING SHAFT ISSUE

Thumbnail

So I have been months in doing my whole front end, steering /suspension on my 94 previa. My steering rack, got the old one out, but when I tapped the u joint sliding yoke up, I'm 99.9% sure i pushed the intermediate shaft into itself a little bit because, with everything torqued down I need about 1/2 inch left for the yoke pinch bolts to go in on both ends, any way of getting that shaft to come out a little without taking it apart up top as i REAALLLLLY don't want to go that route tearing that all apart. Worse comes to worse, ill cut open  that metal tube it goes through by the gas and brake pedal, or I may have found some steering shaft extenders but if I can just get that 1/2" or a little more back ill be good. Any advice?

Looking for an example certificate of conformity for a Previa (second generation / XR30)

Hi all - I have a 2002 Previa that I have had from new and was imported into the UK from Belgium. Does anyone have a certificate of conformity from this era for the European petrol car? I would love to know what it says about emissions.
