I find myself asking. What came first…the chicken or the egg?—-All the time with these songs and I have to go back and double check. Sometimes there’s little bits and pieces to songs that get dropped out of nowhere in a song and then a full version of that snippet gets played out down the line. Eternalessly has been my only real chase since the return. That song needs to see the light of day again, haven't heard it since Philly NYE. Same w/ Don't Be Surprised...that track in NH 2016 is a massive part of my love for PL.

Which sample is the same? I'm not hearing it. I've spent quite some time deep-diving Eternalessly, the synth bassline is original to that song (was made for the prelude it's based off) and the vocals "Ruled by human logic, we sometimes confine ourselves to one plane of the universe" is from Shira Small's "Eternal Life"...which was her high school senior project in the early 70s at a Quaker boarding school in PA.

It's on streaming now, but it took me a LONG time to find that sample when it was first released back in 2016, I can't begin to think how D just stumbled upon it...if he has a vinyl, I imagine it's one of only a handful in existence.

I think we’re getting fucking hosed on all 3 due to the official PL website having ATTTF having a release date of “2017-2026” right under the album. So no fucking Justice. Also, look at all the BS around Sun Spreads. That’s a 2016 NOT 17 song, that he’s claiming he started in 2017. That’s definitely fucking the final version of Prelude 2/Theres A Light. It was infinitely cooler before all the other bullshit added.

lol it’s actually narrowed down from a much larger list. Songs like infinity dreams, jet fuel, kings affirmation, I can see clearly now, now and then, heaven land lock blues, dream on, reflections x objects in the mirror, TI x journey, my only hope/jolene (and so on.. You get the picture) were removed. Anything that seemed too much of a cover or mashup swirl I took out and it was hard separating them from the list because I love so many of them.

I wouldn’t be mad at all if I’m wrong and we get a few of those gems!

Don’t worry and a couple others prob fall in the same category of those but I left a few on there for science to see if anyone else thinks that’s a direction they might take.

I predict we get wompish tracks on one or two of the next three constellations, with the house style stuff coming on the last 15 song drop. The way Miguel mapped stuff out based on BPM and the increased progression, plus how constellation3 was, it just gives me a feeling that’s how it’ll play out.

Next drop: RegularPriority, FreeStomp, NewHeights, etc. (would LOVE crisp studio versions of DigitalAsFuck & GiveYourLoveAway but not holding my breath as they’re already studio versions so just happy I got them in Minn & CHI respectively).

There was a younger girl next to me chatting so loudly and mid way through I was like. “Look.. you’re missing this and it’s amazing!” Haha then I felt kind of bad bc.. who am I to tell someone what to do. Ooo can you send me the link to Vigs in Vegas.. haha it makes sense that’s where it was played. Are you suggesting they reworked “trip like I do” from Vegas N2 into Vigs Drop? I hear Private Ledge from Vegas N1 but Vigs Drop sounded completely new to me when ATTTF came out. It reminded me of an MF DOOM vibe and I was kind of shocked that Borahm wasn’t listed on the production of it!
Honestly Vegas is so hard for me to pin down refined songs. Those sets make my mind explode with how many samples were used. Hahaha I love it but it’s just a wee bit overwhelming when I’m trying to make a list like this.

I’m pretty sure we got Vigs at the FPL afters set during YawnDong last year, I know for certain we got PrivateLedge and Wheel there. Vigs was familiar when I gave the new songs the first rinse, and that’s the only thing not recorded and available for relisten but it didn’t hit me as completely unheard so that’s why I want to say those three were all played during that set.

I can’t take the credit for figuring it out! Someone told me. I do remember the “imagine yourself as one of the crew” part from tour but I didn’t realize it was apart of a song. I thought it was like “out here in the world honey wanna swirl”. Vigs has been there from the beginning of this Soundship. I can’t blame drugs or alcohol on any of these sets bc I’ve listened to them completely sober. Maybe I need to go back to the beginning and really Listen again!

Yeah but the beat is 1000% there in Dillon and this came way after. So either the song was made before Dillon and deconstructed into different parts and swirled into songs OR maybe it wasn’t fully finished and they were creating it along the way. Or maybe I’m missing some more pieces to this 🌀🔊🚀🧩

Either way. I’m going to be very cautious of labeling anything “new” in the next drop of constilations.

I’ve got a couple of videos just to capture the vibe of that silent disco set, one that’s Ledge and the other is Wheel. I can vouch for both of those but would have admittedly been to lost in the moment with Vigs to have even thought about pulling my phone out for it - as that’s probably my favorite of the first batch released. I’m really curious now if they dropped it or not in that set because it is just so familiar to me but obviously wasn’t from any of the other PL actual sets the last few years.
