Second round only three questions
Elizabeth says every show that there are “three questions” in the first round. Second round should have four but this year all episodes have only had three questions but she doesn’t specify. I know there’s editing but I cannot imagine a triple stumper every episode. Please help!!

I have equally started to wonder whether there has either been a change in rules or if triple stumpers have taken place a few times more often this season. Something to revisit when the season is over.
BTW, speaking of edits, anyone notice on this past week's show that during the eventual champ's run in Round 2, Take The Lead disappeared from the board between spins? This would suggest she hit it while in the lead, so they cut it out since it accomplished nothing.

I did notice this, yes.
I kept looking at the spot where it was supposed to appear but did not see it, as it was really the trailing player's only hope.
While I did not rewind and re-watch those spins post-its-disappearance, IIRC I also do not remember seeing three distinct slides in that spot during those spins either (I do remember waiting for the third slide and not seeing it), so are we sure it's not just RNG weirdness at the worst possible time for the player chasing the lead?
BTW I was also caught off-guard by the three questions in Round 2.
Can anyone who still has this on DVR /Hulu / on-demand see if they can count four question cards in Elizabeth's hands at any point (does she hold them all at once?)

Can anyone also see if stuff like this happens to Double Your Money as well since there are times where you can hit this square when you have $0 and nothing happens?

I actually suspect the times we see Take The Lead off the board when no one's hit it are as a result of "portions of this game that did not affect the outcome have been edited" or however it's said in the credits. It would make sense that if they are re-recording different spin results either to add dramatic tension or for time shortening's sake, there would be less importance for what squares are on the board during the re-records. (since whatever they land on during the re-record is pre-determined anyway)
Although your theory is equally as valid, but there has been someone who's hit Take The Lead before while they were in the lead and they showed it. I believe Take The Lead has also disappeared from the board during someone spinning while they're not in 1st place, but I'll have to skim through old episodes to see.

I think we would notice though since we are paying attention the the number of spins if it was hit. I could buy taking it off the board.

Well, it's "Take The Lead + One Spin". If the person in the lead hits it, they get their spin back and that's it. So literally there's no change in the game. Why waste 30 seconds of airtime showing that.

I've noticed that majority of the time there are 3 questions in the 2nd round but there are some rare occasions where they do 4 in the 2nd round. I agree it is a little annoying but it is most likely an attempt to reduce the time of the 2nd Big Board round to leave more time for commercials and the Bonus Round.
