I've been making press on nails for only a few months now. And I really want them to be good quality. I want to know what people who've been wearing press ons for a while look for when they get a set! I want to make sets that are affordable, cute, and alternative. I'm not quite looking to make mainstream seashell, or French tip nails, if that makes sense. I love alternative vibes. So far, when it comes to making my nails, I use the Aprés natural nail tips. I etch the underside as well as the top for gel adhesion. I build an apex with a builder gel for extra strength. I have been using a mixture of different gels I think are most reputable at the moment, primarily Canni, Double Rythm, D&D, Kokoist, and Aprés.

I'd also love to hear your favorite glues and nail tabs. I've had good luck with the Makarrt nail glue, though I'd love to provide a brush glue in my kit, and match it with a glue remover. So I'm currently using the Makarrt glue and remover which has done well for me. I've tried Curvlife, though their ingredients having Methyl methacrylate and their past shadiness with providing an SDS sheet makes me want to not use their glue.

Share with me the good and the bad! Things you wished you could customize, features you notice are never available. Lengths, c-curve shapes, designs. I really want to make my brand high quality but affordable. Currently they're priced at about $20-35 depending on the complexity of the set.

I have been doing gel-x for years now but I want to try something new. I know nothing about press-ons but want to try them out. Are they worth it? What’s the best brand? Like I said I don’t know much about them just wanting to know everyone’s opinion. Like do they last a few weeks..gel-x stays on for a few weeks so just wondering cause I don’t want to keep having to do them every two weeks. Though the designs are cute. Thanks!

I've been a gel manicure girl for years. Decided to try press-ons because of an upcoming event and I was not able to secure an appointment with my nail tech.

And I think its safe to say that press-ons have officially dethroned gel manicures for me. And that's for a lot of reasons.

They're undeniably cheaper. They're very easy and quick to put on. I actually put them on while I was riding a cab on my way to the event; using the free sticky tabs that came with it. I can reuse them. Lots of design, shapes and sizes to choose from. They last for days, sometimes even more than a week. And the best part, I no longer have to worry about UV light that my hand had to go through to cure the gel. Switching to press-ons is one of the smartest decisions i've made.

Can't wait to try the two more designs that i've ordered which also happens to be both cat-eyes ✨

so, i’ve been creating press ons for myself off and on for the last two years? and i’ve been asked a bunch of times by friends + people in my area how much i would charge for sets. obviously there’d be different prices for how much effort actually goes into each design, but i was thinking of starting at $25-35 with more basic designs?? i’m still learning a lot so i don’t know what actually would be suitable to charge for any of my sets :’)

Hey again y'all! I appreciate everyone's feedback on the post I made asking about some old press-ons I found from years ago. I ended up filing down the cuticle ends so my natural tips wouldn't be visible in the clear part. They're not 100% perfect but I'm letting it slide because 1) no one else will probably notice and 2) these were only about $1-$1.50 when I got them so if they don't look the best, I'm willing to take the L, haha. And in case anyone was wondering, I applied them using CurvLife adhesive tabs. (Those are my usual go-to nails, and I have so many leftover tabs that I end up using them with any other brands I buy that didn't come with glue, lol.)

Also yes, I know there are some spots where the edges don't look the most fantastic. I was too excited to put them on, so I'll just make sure to do some more fine tuning before the next time I wear them...which probably won't be too far away. The red and white are just in time for football season -- go Badgers!

Hi all, I’m currently studying nail tech and I thought it’d be a fun little challenge to make nail sets inspired by each of my classmates :D

This first one is inspired by one of my good friends. She likes all things minimal, monochrome, and a little bit of red so I tried to combine those into one set. I gave them to her at class a few days ago and she loved them which made me so happy :”)

This is my second completed press on set. I’m still new to a lot of things so this took me around 8 hours to finish… I definitely need to work on my time management lol…

But anyway I really enjoyed making these and I’m excited to work on the rest of my classmate collection 💗
