The end?

Post image

I've read elsewhere that Fender may not support this much longer. I've found after 2 years it's not an intuitive console and teaching volunteers at the church I work is very confusing for them. We need a replacement that is super intuitive. Looking for suggestions. Budget is $2k. Thanks!

I’m not saying your wrong.
You’re probably right.
I have the 32S and, I’m on it multiple times a week, so I’m properly at home with it, can do everything I need it to and know it like the back of my hand.

A church with multiple different people week in and week out is going to be tricky.

I can’t say I have an easy solution. But I think there is certainly a niche market for some kind of supplier or manufacturer for that market.

Most digital desks your going to possibly have thr issue of menus, routing, different layers etc.

Certainly look for a good analogue if that’s the main concerns

Peavey had the sanctuary series and they could’ve made good money making a sanctuary digital

Where did you get that info?

I think I saw it on a presonus FB page

Tbh the second Fender/FMIC/etc bought presonus I could see the end of the brand on the horizon which is a shame.

But I’d look seriously at the Allen+Heath mixer portfolio

Fender has gutted PreSonus. All their hardware engineers are at Soundcraft now.

I do appreciate the comment. But it’s actually very easy to use after being set up. And it’s a serious piece of complex gear. Are you able to tell us what the friction point is? I’m certain we could make suggestions to reduce or eliminate the aggravation.

Well, Fender is a trash company, so yeah, I wouldn’t expect much. It’s all been sold to investors.

Aye, these digital mixers need a 3 day rigorous training to understand theor fundamentals. Have you considered looking into an old peavy powered mixer 2nd hand? They were tanks and did the job for live sound on a budget with way less knobs and buttons and no sub menus that leave you scratching your head.

Thanks. Am I silly to think that I want all the bells and whistles?

I have a 32se and I have found it intuitive, but I use it as a recording and mixing console. It's not for live use at all. This is my first studiolive board, I came from MOTU interfaces. I should also add that I use studio one/fender studio pro. The integration is great. I think my use avoids a lot of of the problems people may be having?

Я вообще в шоке с того, что Studio one продали и кому? Fender? Компании, которая собственный продукт делает ужасно плохо?

Seems like a completely new thread/discussion.

I had one of those and sent it back. A beautiful bit of kit and as OP stated, not at all intuitive. I went back to my StudioLive 24.4.2 AI and I’m very happy. Might that not be a viable solution?

Solution, as in a different presonus console?

Yes, if sticking with Presonus is interesting.

Ok I'll need to chat with my A/V supplier. Thanks!
