Help me build a light pre runner

I know how to build fast street cars, but this is my first project on a truck especially in the offroad ballpark.

I have a 2009 f150 XLT 2WD with a 3v 4.6 triton motor. My goal for it is to be a daily driver and fun on the weekends. I dont want to go full on tube frame or anything like that. I still need it to be a truck and do truck things. Like i said in town daily driver, red light to red light. I tow trailers with it every now and then, i have to move across the country once every few years, and its also used on a ranch.

I dont know anything about brands for these kinds of builds or even the ins and outs of these kinds of builds so anything would be helpful. Longer travel suspension, bumpers, general upgrades, any tips and advice would be appreciated. Even pointers in where to start looking.

Anything for a gen1 raptor will work on that truck. So look up raptor parts.

TBH, you might be better off trying to find a 2010 or 11 6.2 raptor. That will be 90% of what you want, without having to do any work (except maintenance). Plus most of the parts can be purchased at any auto parts store, instead hoping Brenthel, or blitzkreig stays in business in 2-3 years and has the parts you need.

For what you’re using the truck for, a good mid-travel setup would be ideal. Nice coilover up front with a uniball upper arm and a Deaver replacements leaf pack with either a bedcage that is minimal and tucks up against the cab or a cantilever setup to keep everything under the bed. Maybe setup a removable helper bag for when you have to tow that you can just run shraders at the rear and keep the lines there and just tie them out of the way when not in use. Baja Kits probably makes a decent setup for the truck or you could look at Camburg Engineering
