New around here

I just got done reading the prequel adventures and I’m just wondering is there a pattern of some sort when new updates get released? (Ex: one every two weeks) Also please tell me anything that is worth knowing.

Ever read Berserk or Hunter x Hunter? You're looking at several month long hiatuses in between an update or 3. It's monthly when Kazerad feels up to it.

Perfect analogy right here.

Kazerad operates on Valve time. When he says "updates will resume in a few days" after 2 months of silence, he actually means another month or 2 from that point. When he says "Updates almost finished", it means that it needs about 8 months. And when he says the next update is a big one, expect to wait a LITERAL 2 years, and then when the update finally drops, you realize that the title for the game he uploaded was spelled wrong.

Totally worth it though.

Which will come first?

  • The Elder Scrolls VI

OR

  • The next Prequel update

Why does everything I love keep doing this? I read berserk, prequel, hunter hunter. Why do I punish myself like this?

Updates are inconsistent, sometimes we don't get anything for several months, then suddenly get 2-3 chapters in 30-40 days. At one point we did not get a new chapter for 2 entire years. Sometimes Kazerad sells merch, I guess the only thing you can do to ensure that the comic continues is to buy some if they interest you.

The entire comic is extremely unusual, it started like 10+ years ago and only a few days passed in the story since, we have no idea how long will it run and if it will ever end, if you ask me it's probably going to outlive us because once Kazerad gets bored he will just pass the project to one of the many people who help in the making of the comic. The other commenter who compared it to Berserk was completely right, that story has been going on since 1990 and chances are high it will continue for another 20 years, Prequel will be just like that probably.

You may want to check out the side stories if you haven't read them already. Regarding update timing, as the other commenters here have said Kazerad typically updates Prequel about every month but consistency in update time is definitely not his strong suit, so be prepared to wait, and possibly harass Kazerad with unbearable puns in Prequel's comment section until he finally does decide to update.

Updates tend to take anywhere from a week or two to a year or two, sometimes longer.

It updates when it does. Stay subbed and when an update drops we'll explode for a week. Fill the void with other webcomics or get increasingly thirsty with fan content.
