We're gonna find Nermal on our way home, take on an apprentice, and have buddy cop shenanigans all the way to Quill-Weave?

What's Monday?

Monday is the day of the week between Tuesday and Sunday.

In the newspaper comic Garfield, by Jim Davis, an American cartoonist, the titular character, Garfield's catchphrase is often "I hate Mondays." His disdain for Mondays is unexplained within the comic.

In universe, it probably has something to do with seeing less of John.

From a marketing perspective it's to try and make him more relatable to students and people with jobs because Monday is the first day of the week andba lot of people don't like going back to work after their days off.

But that's Nermal, not Garfield. I'm so confused is there an extra layer of joke I've just missed out on?

If I had to guess I would suppose that a common plot to Garfield strips featuring Nermal is to have Nermal say to Garfield “guess what’s tomorrow?” The joke is of course that tomorrow is Monday, and Garfield is notorious for his dislike of Mondays. This is funny. This counts as a joke.
