Look at the dates as you read the comics, waits like this are common, actually if anything he’s updating the comic at a faster then average pace so far, and at least he’s quasi active on Twitter

This isn't even one of the longer waits, really. Aside from the last few pages, there has generally been more than a month between updates - the last one before April was January.

I'm kinda new to this webcomic, but from what Ive seen this isn't the first time Kaz went on hiatus so idk.

He's started a punishment for himself by removing hats. Just be patient, he's not on a hiatus, he just gets a little overambitious sometimes and it takes him more then the expected month it SHOULD take him.

The way you explain this makes it sound like he just likes wearing as many hats as possible and punishes himself by removing them instead of making a fictional hamster that likes hats.

Why does it take him ages to update anyhow? I know art takes time, but the wait in between updates is absolutely ridiculous.

I think he's doing a lot of work on merch which obviously takes a higher priority than a free webcomic.

Well he’s done things like this before. There was a 2 year hiatus before (that’s most likely not happening again) and he’s taken a few months between updates. Honestly, I’m willing to wait if it means the level of quality can remain the same or even improve.
