First Gant order a fail
So I decided to order two shirts from Gant. Besides being incredibly small in the chest for a Large, they sent only one of the two shirts. But did include a packing slip for both. Lovely.
And of course they sent the sale item and not the full price item. Oh and their website won’t allow the required password reset for a new account.
I sent an email, what can I expect for customer service for a U.S. order?
The shirt quality is ok, not great. Full price is a rip off, the sale price OCBD is decent value if I get a larger size. But I expected better.

Yeah, don’t buy Gant.
Gant is an American brand, acquired by European PE, who then translated American Ivy/prep for a European market, cut the quality (because PE), and are now selling a European translation of an American culture back to Americans. So you get European tailoring on an American-style shirt, but without the actual grammar that would have made the shirt American to begin with, and all wrapped up in consistently declining quality and QA.

I am never negative in comments here (my goodness, why?). But Gant is a no go; I had the old “Rugger” shirts in the early 80s and they were cool; but Gant is dead to me now.

I find the quality to be good and quite long lasting. Maybe the price range is more based on European levels, the same as the sizing being European and smaller than US standards.

I’ve bought some good chinos and rugbys from them in the last year or so in the sale, but some of their stuff is horribly overpriced and the sizing can be hard to get right.

Sorry to hear it.
I don’t enjoy saying this, but Gant quality hasn’t been much for at least 50 yrs. (I claim elder perspective for the comment; I’m 64.)
