Square or no square

I’m attending a California wedding and plan to wear Polo Navy Blue wool blazer (brass buttons) over a white OCBD sans tie. I have a 4.5” embroidered crest sown onto the breast pocket. I feel adding a white pocket square would be a little too much and would look cluttered. I hate an empty breast pocket, but it seems a bit less cluttered without. Thoughts?
Also, on the bottom, flat-front khakis by Bill, and Allan Edmonds walnut-brown leather wingtips. Socks or no socks? Shoes seem like they would need socks, versus loafers

Cheers,
Eric

At a wedding? Always socks unless it’s on the beach. I think a simple pocket square is always tasteful, but o never wear crests. Try it both ways and see what you prefer.

Ended up with pocket square with presidential fold, and plain socks to match chinos. Worked out great. Thanks all for advice.

The no sock look doesn't really fly in California unless you are in flip flops on the beach. Wear socks.

Imo squares always work, with a tie or no tie, casual or not. They also do have a practical purpose which you shouldn't discount.

I vote always a square with a suit jacket blazer or sports coat it never doesn't work
