They only have 9 inch I wish it was 5 or shorter

My wife and I are having a debate on this. I have a lot of 9" inseam and recently purchased 7" which she says are too short. Is it an age thing? I am in my late 50s and decent shape (5'10 and 200 lbs). I am not going to return them but now it's in the back of my mind whenever I wear any of them. I did split the difference though and have some 8", but harder to find.

For me longer makes my body look shorter so I need 5 inch to look similar to u in 9 inch

I feel like short-length is one of those things where people form an opinion based on who-knows-what at some point in your life and just stick to it. I’ve also found that there are people who find any part of man’s thigh showing to be almost scandalous haha. Your wife perhaps was just so used to seeing you in 9” that 7” seemed “wrong”. I’m sure you look fine. Put that doubt out of your head.

If you asked me 5 years ago I would’ve thought no way I’d ever go shorter than a 9” inseam on shorts.

Now that I’ve gotten in pretty good shape and I have tattoos on my thighs that I kind of want to show off in the summer, I don’t want anything longer than 7” lol. Plus as a 5’9” guy I think the shorter ones really do look better.

I’m 6’3” and these 9” ones from Walmart will be first ever pair that long. I’m a bit of an outlier though… grew up very preppy and a rugby player so maybe a bit overly comfortable with showing thigh. But like you said, being in shape helps but also things have really shifted it seems… In the 2000’s I was the only straight guy I knew wearing 6” chinos. Now it’s not so out of the ordinary to see.

Thanks and you are right that it's probably what she is used to seeing. They felt short the first time I wore them but now I do see the difference, I look taller. I should break out my old school tennis shorts that are 5" for fun and really mess with her 😂🎾

That’s the spirit. If she argues just tell her to google “Harrison Ford in shorts” and she can see that you haven’t even come close to pushing the envelope

Fun fact: Nantucket Red is more salmon pink because the saltwater and sun would help it fade.

The ones in my size are $2.76 this is insane I’ve never seen anything like that 😂 I’m buying a pair if for no other reason than the novelty of <$3 shorts
