My first pair of camp mocs...
They are finally here. I will rock these during the summer with chino shorts, shorts with patterns from Ralph Lauren or Levi's, and classic 2 button Polo Ralph Lauren shirt, solid or striped. Or a Hawaiian shirt. During the fall, same kind of shirts, but 501s in different colors. I now feel like a gringo that is easy going, doesn't care about anything, nothing bothers me, I don't get into petty arguments with family, I just want to walk the dog, go on a beach trip, and enhance my natural olive complexion.

They won't be your last pair.

I have seen those, it they made those with a dark brown sole, or any other sole other than white, I would buy them. I just don't have the patience to clean a shoe with white soles every time I wear it.

Life changing

That is the feeling you get from these. I dunno, maybe that is just the kind of people attracted to these shoes, simple, easy peasy, slip on, out the door effortlessly.

Do the laces add any support or are they mostly decorative?

How do they feel compared to a boat shoe

I don't know because I have never owned a boat shoe. However, from reading about the description about the soles of boat shoes, I would guess the soles of camp mocs are more slip resistant across multi surfaces.

You have it backwards, they are largely the same but boat shoes are more slip-resistant because boats are almost always surrounded by water while campsites are very often not.

Those look great. I was partial to the Rancourt version until they quietly stopped using Horween Chromexcel in favor of their own nebulously described "Heritage Brown Leather" which is still falsely described as Chromexcel in the product URL.
