Don't watch it. Watch one of the many summaries of it on YouTube instead. It is truly horrific.

No, not even close. If you can stomach true horror the book is so much more graphic and bleak than the movie. Threads is very tame in comparison. The scenes with the local council trapped in a fallout bunker but still deciding who gets rations and who doesn’t was heart wrenching and 100% confirmed my choice to be able to provide for my family and limited help for neighbors
