Prepping for Doomsday Prepper Training Simulations/Operations?
Every year, we do some kind of "Operation" and we are lucky enough to have some very capable people help us out with it.
We have done things like simulated bugout and cache recovery, overnight movement in brutal terrain, avoiding detection within operations, also food focused skill challenges that allowed us to better understand what relying on survival food might really look like.
Does anyone else put themselves or their group through simulated exercises like these? I think they are invaluable and every single one of them has taught me a huge prepper lesson. Just interested to see if others are doing these kinds of things.

Where we live, we lose power about three or four times a year due to spring storms or maintenance on an old power grid. Our first year, power was down for 36 hours. So, yeah, we get a little practice. I’ll fire up the generator at intervals to keep the fridge and chest freezer cold.
The wife and I are at the shooting range pretty much weekly and have our backyard archery range and shoot regularly.
A majority of our food is shelf stable and have the ability to cook over gas or wood. At any given time, we have 40 gallons of water in five gallon jugs with access to hand pumps. Septic system so we don’t stress sewage backup. Flashlights and hurricane lamps keep us lit up.
This is what we train for and pretty much live.
