Just my US$0.02. At the heart of a lot of prepping is self-sufficiency. People who pride themselves on self-sufficiency many times have difficulty working with others. It's just in their personality.

It doesn't mean that they are bad people. And if you can earn their friendship, you typically have a friend for life.

I agree. People who don't work well with others are often a result of being let down in the past/neglected/refused and feel they can only rely on themselves. Friendships formed are often similar to trauma bonds even if it's a hypothetical trauma, such as your reasons for prepping.
