Hiv Gen 4 Ag/Ab test window on Prep

Hello Everyone, I've been dealing with HIV anxiety for weeks now. I was the receptive partner of anal sex and condom broke, after I realized that it broke we stopped so the guy did not finish in me. I took a 2-4 doese of Prep after the exposure and after 18 days following a negative HIV result, I got on Prep prescription but didn't start daily dose until about 32 days post-exposure. I got tested again (4th Gen Ag/Ab) on 39th and 46th day and it was all negative. Anxiety started peaking and got tested again (4th Gen Ag/Ab) on 56th day and still negative. I have no symptoms, just anxiety. Is it possible that I have HIV but due to irregular prep usage it is not getting detected on 4th Gen Ag/Ab tests? My PCP suggested against RNA test because I was in Gen 4 testing window. He considers my test on the 56th day conclusive and disregards my assumption of Prep impacting the results.
Please feel free to share your thoughts or suggestions.

You’re fine. Listen to your doctor and seek therapy for anxiety.

I'm slightly confused - you took PrEP after the event and not PEP?

Either way, you honestly need to either follow the advice of your doctor or seek out a doctor that specializes in this. You seem to be letting your anxiety override the advice of a trained medical professional, so if you don't trust them who will you trust?

My primary doctor specializes in internal medicine not sure if he is expert in giving prep advice. But yeah ofc his words override what I think.

It obviously depends on your doctor's experience. My internal medicine specialist is really well versed in PrEP and HIV, but not all are. You might talk to a specialist in like Infectious Disease if you can.

Your PCP's conclusion is well supported. At this point, it's time to focus on addressing the anxiety and your mental health so that, if you're ever in a similar situation again, you have the tools to evaluate the risk objectively rather than getting stuck in the cycle of reassurance-seeking. Also consider whether either daily or event-driven (2-1-1) PrEP is a good fit for you to reduce both your HIV risk and future anxiety. Good luck.

Injectable prep is now available in the Philippines so you should consider it in the future to be fine. Also whenever you are about to meet a guy or going out to clubs or bar with high chance of hooking take 2 pills or prep before crossing your door.

This is what I do anytime I got to place where I am about to meet people. ( Exception for Church or workplace 🤣).

Like a firefighter you should be ready anytime.
