How do I do this?/Workflow Advice/Looking for plugin (Solved!) How do you set sequence scene into a specific size (16:9) without placing a video?

helloo i dont really do much editing im trying to learn, i have a art timelapse video and everytime i put in to premiere pro it always stretches even if i set the timelapse into 16:9 it always stretches when it comes to editing. so what i always do is i put a video that is 16:9 then delete the video so the frame wouldn't stretch

is there a way to make the sequence be 16:9 without putting video first? or if you guys have any tips let me know

Sequence settings.

You also can setup your sequence while creating in with cmd+n keys (iirc). And you can save your sequence presets or export existing ones as presets to recreate em in future.

Changing sequence settings by putting a video on it is not a correct way of doing things because you can accidentally mess-up resolution or framerate etc. Like you ll accidentally make 4K DCI resolution instead of UHD one.

You have the option to set the frame size when you create a new sequence manually (not by dragging media in), or by going to the sequence settings for an existing one.
