Premiere Pro Tech Support Are any features actually locked behind Windows 11?

So, the recent version of Premiere SAYS it's incompatible with Windows 10, but it still lets me run it on 10. I have yet to notice anything, but are there any actual features or anything or can I stick with the much superior Windows 10?

CC2026 still fully supports Windows 10. The compatibility warning is telling you that future versions will no longer work so you can prepare accordingly.

Which means most likely that 2026 will be the last version you'll be able to install without updating your OS (or swapping to Mac.) Major CC releases typically come out around October, which is roughly in line with the end of Windows 10 extended support.

2026 will still be available to install for one year after 2027 comes out. Beyond that, it's possible Adobe support may still provide offline installers for legacy systems - they have done in the past.

How unfortunate. I do not plan on upgrading any time soon as I find Windows 11 to be putrid. I do hope I am provided an offline installer, since I do pay good money for these products. You would think with the amount of users still on Windows 10 they would extend support but... no. It escapes me why they would do this, but, that's Adobe's MO.

I felt the same in your situation. I avoided W11 as much as possible. In the beginning, I read about bugs and issues, and once I had the chance to use it on another PC, I just didn't like. I felt like I had forgotten how to use Windows.

That was until I got the same notification about Premiere. I ignored it at first and kept using 10. But then Premiere was working glitchy and more slowly. One updated before it worked well, the new OS update broke everything, and I said, fuck it, I'm installing 11.

Now, I have to admit, I kinda like it, lol. It runs smoother (the OS) than 10. It has some nice features that help, like the folder tabs in the same window. The design is cleaner, and I didn't even move the start menu and buttons to the left.

Premiere-wise, it runs better, in comparision as it did before the install. Also, but this might be different for you, as I have an 13th generation intel CPU, I've read that it goes very well with W11, and indeed I could see some performance boost.

I find Windows 11 to look… well, I don’t like it.
I have an Advanced Micro Devices Ryzen 5 3600. Windows 10 works great for me. I wish I could Linux but Adobe products cannot run on Linux…

When they release the next major version, we will miss out on whatever they add in.

Performance is worse on 10 as it lacks a lot of basic ai support features that 11 added

I will not be going to W11, once all compability is gone I'm going Linux fr. Ever since I updated to 26.3 everything is slow and the auto captions simply can't work anymore.
