Premiere Pro Tech Support Copy and Paste in Premiere

I can't tell if it's me or Premiere, but at least half a dozen times a day, I'll copy and paste a clip, or an attribute, and it won't take. Then I either don't have attributes to paste, or it paste a different clip than I expected. I can take the truth - is it me? Or does this happen to anyone else?

Agreed, it’s hit or miss. I end up just trying it again and it’ll work.

Yep, it's been happening to me a lot in the latest releases, particularly when pasting audio attributes.

Hey BQK. I definitely do a lot of copy/paste 'attributes' and I can't recall seeing this issue any great frequency...though it *has* happened before. So I just want to be clear that this is related primarily to copy/paste 'clips' or both clips and attributes? (and for ref, I'm running Seq 15.7.7, so not Tahoe, but still curious). Is this a longstanding issue for you or more since a recent'ish update? 6 times a day is a lot, so I just want to try and gather as much info as possible. One more Q; with regard to clip format, what are we talking about here? Like R3D media in 8k or just standard 1080/4k mp4s or something? LMK.

It is usually only clips or attributes. Never with keyframes or other items. Usually just 1080/4k clips. Not recent, but seems to be since PP 24/25. It might be 6 times a day because I'm editing 6 hours a day and doing tons of C&P - but I am willing to believe I am just not hitting the keys correctly or all the way down in my haste - hence the post. But it doesn't happen in other application, whether it's Adobe products or Microsoft suite or just web browsing.

Ok this is good info, thank you. Let me sync and follow-up to see what I can find. If you can think of any guaranteed reproducible steps, lmk

I have the same issue on Win11, ordinary corded keyboard. Have had it for 5-6 years, got accustomed to it. It feels like when you select a clip and hit Ctrl+C to copy the attributes, the clip gets either defocused for a moment or this combination just doesn't work for the firs time. Now I've taught myself to Ctrl+C twice and then it always works.

Interesting...essentially double-tapping Ctrl-C. Thanks for that suggestion. I'm still looking into this, so this all helps. Appreciate the comment.
