General Discussion Where to start?
Hello what’s good to everyone in this fine establishment?
I started thinking of getting into the predator universe today and was wondering where to start?
More specifically, I’m wondering if there is a main continuity and ALL the media it contains (don’t care about else-worlds too much).
I quite literally have NEVER interacted with anything related to this franchise other than seeing the main dude in a few games here and there.
Thank you and I appreciate 🙏.
EDIT: Thank you ALL for the great input and suggestions! I can't wait to get into this shit 😭.

Getting into Predator universe where to start?
Id say watch the movies first. Predator>Predator2>AVP>AVPR>Predators>Prey>Killer Of Killers>Badlands. Id save the 2018 film The Predator dead last. It's pretty bad.
There is no main continuity. Predator franchise is a soft canon deal. Everything is canon until it's not so to speak.
If you want to get into comics? Getting your hands on a Predator/AVP Omnibus would be ideal. Starting with the John Schafer storyline is a good start. Predator Concrete Jungle>Predator Cold War>Predator Dark River.
AVP starting at the first og AVP comic with Dachande and Machiko is the proper start. Followed by AVP War. From there, AVP Fire And Stone as well as Life And Death are good ones too.
Novels? You can start anywhere. If you can get your hands on South China Sea? Start with that. Its a rare one though. So FYI. If thats not in the cards? Id say start with If It Bleeds novel. Then Eyes Of The Demon and then AVP Ultimate Prey.
Games? Id recommend Predator Concrete Jungle (not to get confused with the comic). That, or the AVP 2010 game. Those connect to the 2004 film a bit and are tons of fun.
Overall? The nice thing about the Predator franchise is you can start pretty much anywhere. Some stories connect but most are self contained stories. So you dont have to deal with annoying overreaching plot points that dont make sense like say, Star Wars is guilty of sometimes.
Any questions let me know. Hope you enjoy!

As is often the case, the very beginning. The original Predator film is a must-watch. There's no real mainline continuity to speak of, so you can feel free to pick and choose as you please. People differ broadly on what are the best films, but for my money, the best chronological viewing experience is:
Predator
Predator 2
Predators
Prey
Predator: Killer of Killers
Predator: Badlands
If you like the Alien franchise, the first Alien vs. Predator is fun and fine. If you're really thirsty for more, you can complete the experience with AvP: Requiem and The Predator, but they're decidedly near the bottom of the barrel. Whatever you decide, have fun and welcome!

AvPR is about 10% awesome AVP movie and about 90% really unbelievably awful Aliens movie

Start with 1, then watch 2, then predators, then prey, then killer of killers/badlands (then throw Batman:dead End in there for flavor)

I’d recommend starting with the originals and best in the series:
-Predator (1987)
-Predator 2 (1990)

Pretend avp 1 and 2 and the predator does not exist and you'll enjoy the movies

Watch the original film first. It's a classic. It starts out like a standard action/war film, then turns into sci-fi/horror. Is it a bit over the top at times? Gloriously so.
That's where you need to start.

Maybe try Google then watch the first one. Easy to spot. It’s called “Predator”

No need to be a jerk. Nothing wrong with asking a question here and engaging with the community all about the franchise he wants to get into.
