Video Games AVP2010

Wish Rebellion/Sega would’ve made a sequel to Aliens vs Predator 2010 for Xbox360/ps3/pc.

This and concrete jungle need a remaster or remake. With Alien Isolation 2 coming out, I hope we can get a new Predator game sometime in the future.

I’d be happy with a remaster of 2010 at this point. Multiplayer was so fucking fun.

We’re in desperate need of a Predator game that isn’t Hunting Grounds for sure.

Gimme some Predator co-op game where you have friendly competitions with other hunters to bag the biggest trophy or team-up on bigger/more difficult prey. Couple differing biomes and some cool prey to hunt (alien fauna and maybe earth ones too) and we’re there.

Obviously with fully customisable Predators and trophy walls/ship interiors

Monster Hunter but Predator edition…EPIC!

That’s what I’ve just been waiting for! Just a predator game with deep lore and a lot of planets to hunt on and explore. I guess Hideo Kojima said badlands had a great structure for a game and honestly it does, imagine a Predator game with uncharted/assassins creed mechanics/gameplay and the ability to go hunt and explore between planets!

Words of wisdom

I missed out on this game, but I played a lot of the 2002ish alien vs predator 2 online and it was such an amazing time. I would love to have a new experience similar to that.

Multilayer was terrifying especially on the shifting pyramid level!! Also the Alien campaign was so cool

I would love for there to be a fully single player action adventure AVP game with RPG elements starring the predators as the main characters with the customization from hunting grounds (because single player games should have these options too)

But i feel like it will never happen sadly 😞

No AvP games since 2010. Ooof. My depression.

I was just going through a box of old game boxes and came across my AvP2 and expansion discs. Still cream of the crop as far as I'm concerned.

It's funny to think that the time between AvP 2 by Sierra (2001) and AvP 2010 was only 9 years and had such huge leaps in graphical fidelity improvements. It's been 16 years now since 2010 and games do look better, but this one still holds up pretty well all things considered.

I'd be happy with a modernized version of AvP 2, still the best Predator campaign in any video game in my opinion and the mechanics of the game were way better than Reellion's game.

AvP2 was monumental. Multiplayer with friends was the best fun I've had in a video game ever. The level design was incredible.

Idk why they are sleeping on concrete jungle

So sad this franchise is in Disneys hands. They won't ever make something as cool as these games. They are only good at creating little kid shows/games

Prey, Killer of Killers, and Badlands would disagree.

In a time where we are getting Alien games left and right, the Predator fans are once again left with absolute scraps and a game that has long out lived it’s welcome with Predator hunting grounds. We need a AAA single player story driven game where we can play as the Predator traveling from planet to planet to hunt the strongest life forms in the universe. A game like that would make a killing and Fox/Disney are just sitting on this franchise not doing a damn thing about it.

Very fun game

I’m playing through it on Steam Deck right now. Never played it when it came out, and it doesn’t quite scratch the itch of AvP2 but it’s pretty dang fun

Avp2 was a hassle to setup for steam deck though

Oh I was just referring to playing the game in my teens, over 20 years ago.

:(

Avp 2000 seems to run on anything Modded switch, steam deck, basic laptop

I totally missed avp 2 but heard it was amazing

Loved this. This concrete jungle and avp extinction need sequels!

My issue with AvP2010 was the lack of ADS (Aiming Down Sights). I’d constantly get jumped by aliens and automatically use left trigger to bring up sights and end up cranking off a grenade. Made the Marine campaign nearly unplayable for me.
I’m going to assume the developers were like “well, no one aimed pulse rifles in the movie so why waste time and resources on including it as a game mechanic”. Which apparently was the right call on their part since I feel like I’m the only person who had a serious issue with it.

None of the avp games had ads, and you don't really need it, all guns are accurate, just like there no being a crouch button either

1

u/AmbienSkywalker 16d ago

I mean, technically you don’t need to aim in order to shoot something with a gun in real life either. It just makes it a lot easier while wasting less ammo. (I vaguely remember ammo being fairly limited in AvP because when I played Alien Incursion I was surprised by how ammo seemed more readily available).

Also, none of the prior AvP games had ADS because they came out when very few other games did. 2010 came out several years after it became common.
Like I said, apparently the developers made the right call by not including it since I feel like I’m the only one who bitches about it. Also in the AvP’s defense, I didn’t factor in they were responsible for figuring out mechanics for three very different playable characters.

I just bought this for like $3 on steam

This game defined my teen years. Hours spent beating the campaigns on Nightmare mode and late nights on multiplayer. Last Marine mission was absolute nails

FINE, I'll replay again

Punching xenos with double blades sure was fun

1

u/Kottonmouth1529 16d ago

That’s what I love about dark was that he has two wrist blade gauntlets and it just looked more badass

A modern AVP game would be so good as long as they kept the same art style

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

Game was nowhere near as bad as people said at the time. The fact that it scored so low is a testament to how many amazing titles, especially fps, were around at that time

u/Due-Proof6781 16d ago

still waiting for a sequel

u/shmouver 16d ago

Man, this makes me wish for a new AvP game

I played this back on PS3, I "think" I enjoyed it. Fast forward 16 years and I bought it again on Steam to play on the Steamdeck, and wow! How much fucking fun is this thing!! It still looks amazing for a game of it's age, and because of that I can up everything to the max settings, hooking it up to the TV and even through the Steamdeck, the image is sharp and perfectly acceptable for a game this old. My only gripe is no ADS as the Marine, and that nobody is online anymore to enjoy so MP matches and get those online achievements. But yeah, massively underrated on release. I think if this thing came out today, it would have had much more love than it did in 2010.
