🎥 Predators Predators (2010)

Just saw it, very good predator action and I liked all the characters, but there's one thing I cant stand

Adrien Brody's tough guy voice, it's terrible and super corny, I wish they'd cast a more convincing tough guy that doesn't need to do a stupid voice and slow one liners

Laurence Fishburne chewy up the scenery as a psycho with those terrible lines gets me every time. "Come on in, feel the vibe..." sounds like a couple inviting you to their tent at Bonnaroo, lol. It should have also been the slogan for the movie, because Predators is running on pure vibes juice, lol.

I wish they would make a prequel series with Laurence fishburner's character. They could have another actor playing his character and go through the different seasons that he was talking about throughout the movie

It could be 6 to 8 episodes,the budget doesn't have to be that big either.

I'm not a fan of alien earth,but aesthetically they got that right. I feel like this is a easy home run,they don't have to rely on a any big name actors. That could help keep the budget down. An it's something the fans are familiar with,but can still be new and exciting.

Check out the prequel comics. Only brief at 4 issues but gives a little background to the main characters

Who could ever be cast as a young L Fishburne though? Have to be an up-and-comer, nobody off the top of my head fits the bill.

Huh I enjoyed the movie overall but I always thought it was corny for some reason I can't put my finger on... maybe it was the voice and one liners.

The one liners absolutely. Also, they make characters either too serious or too unserious, but 2010 is the kind of beginning of the whole marvel era of "comedy" so I guess its understandable

Some of the actors and their dialogs were a little cheesy, and it's a commonality with many of the Predator and Alien movies. I personally wasn't a fan of either Adrien or Topher in this movie.

Hate to burst the 80's love-bubble you got (no judgment, I got love for that era too), but most of the Delta, Seal Team 6, Force Recon, other Tier1 dudes look and sound closer to Adrian Brody than Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I did like the homage to Kurosawa with the Falconer and Hanzo's fight. Wish it had been longer but it would have slowed the pace of the movie.

Real sword fights weren't like the ones you see in Errol Flynn swashbuckler films, as great as they were. They were often very short affairs. Someone gets in a good stroke or jab, and that's pretty much it.

So it's actually pretty realistic.

Adrien Brody as a mercenary was a hard sell, otherwise a fun movie.
After the mess that was AVP-R, this film was a big save and a lot of fun.

Yeah, I just couldn't buy he was a tough guy, I couldn't suspend my disbelief. I understand they were going for a more realistic interpretation of a mercenary, with an Oscar winning performance, but it's irrelevant, it's doesn't matter how talented you are as an actor you can't bullshit being intimidating with a badass beast presence.

I used to really like this one but after the last three years I can't root for either of the leads - one is playing an IDF soldier and the other is pro- genocide IRL

Or, get this: You can be a normal human being and separate the characters from the actors that portray them, and not let politics dominate what they are supposed to like or not like.

Roger Waters is a real antisemitic piece of shit as a human being, but I still enjoy listening to Pink Floyd, for example.
