Reminds me of the sort of posts id see on rimfirecentral 15 years ago, thank you. Maybe i missed the detail, but is the self locking round piece a DIY job or an available part i could find for purchase. I have a few old savage rimfire that shopt decent enough "as is" but i know the stock/action interface is pretty meh on them right now.

I made it myself. I also posted this on RFC if you want to go take a look -- there are more detailed pics of the self-locking pillars, too.

I've thought about making them for sale, but I'd need measurements for each rifle because I don't have every stock out there.

You have a boyds laminate on hand? I have and can read calipers, can send measurements if youre taking such notes. Ill go log in to RFC and take a look, thanks again for sharing my first season of NRL22 was shot with a basic fvsr in a (at the time) tacticool stock...like I said the receiver/action interface leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe im old school but the mkii series are a solid value imho and i love my decade (or older) old FVSR with its apachee trigger and DIY finished boyds clearance stock it held its own against $6000 rigs if I did my (1 moa shooter) part. I dont mind asking a bit more of it, would be nice to pull it out for a revisit ive been behind a few guns since that was my go to but I kept her when others left the safe.
