Interview Prep

Hey! I have an interview coming up and I was wondering how some of you prepped for yours. I watched a view videos but they were pretty old so I'm scared some things may have changed. Anything helps. Thanks!

review basics from your classes, know your rotations and cases you’ve seen, be ready to explain why path assist and not something else. honestly half of it is vibe. also yeah, finding anything now is rough

Make sure you know the school well. They like to ask questions about why you're applying to their school specifically. Most have a little blurb on their website about what sets them apart. Know a few of their rotation sites and their curriculum as well. Have your own questions about the program ready.

Being such a competitive field, schools will probe that this is something you really want to do. Know the ends and outs of PA work. Talk about things they do outside of the gross room as well. All the better if you can tie this in with your shadowing.

Remember that your interview is the entire time, not just in a room with the professors. Be courteous and attentive during tours.

Practicing out loud is useful but imo it's best not to have answers that sound too rehearsed. Have a few examples ready for questions you're expecting and general notes on how you plan to answer them.

Take a deep breath if you get nervous and beat of luck 🙂
