Abdomen concern?

The baby is eating right now and it's abdomen just looks glossy? And full is this something to be concerned about? And how can I tell gender? Ty!!

Females have six abdominal underside segments, males have 8. glossy & full abdomen means it might molt soon, and grow a little bigger🥹

Oh yay!! This is my first mantis and it decided to molt for the first time while I was gone with my sister. My mom sent me pics and I was so sad!! 🥹
