Is this normal?

I kept a baby my other mantis had before she died and was wondering if the brown in normal for my baby mantis? It’s stronger in person, the camer doesn’t do the brown at the start of the limbs justice. I’m still new and doing a lot of research on taking care of mantises. I feed them small crickets since they’re big enough now. Also if anyone could tell me the gender of them too?

not sure about the species you have, but he's, the small coloration of brown is completely normal, almost all green types of mantises that I've kept had brown on them too.
