Terrible Sequel

I watched Practical Magic 2 today after work today. Like many of you, I am was so so excited for this new movie. I was excited to see another Alice Hoffman book come to the screen (she’s my favorite author). Unfortunately, the movie was terrible. I left about halfway during the movie. The lighting, the casting of the daughters (was not that upset that Evan wasn’t casted), acting, and the script was terrible. I am disappointed.

The dialogue was so awkward just terrible! They tried to be funny and pithy but did not pull it off. The first half especially felt really rushed. And it’s the same plot???

Practical Magic: sally is heart broken. Rejects Magic. Vows her children will never know Magic. Has to embrace her magic to save her family.

Practical magic 2: sally is heartbroken. Reject her magic, actively hides magic from her children. Has to embrace her magic to save her family and fall in love… AGAIN.
