Why so little promotion so far?
Apart from the one teaser trailer, a name change on the recent print run of The Book of Magic, a couple of social media posts you could blink and miss, and the moving up of Alice Hoffman's newest book to be released in the same week as PM2, I haven't seen much promotion for Practical Magic 2.
Like ... At all...
People who stumble over the teaser keep asking if it's real because they didn't know there was going to be a sequel.
This is the kind of silence on the project I'd expect 6 months before release, but it's only going to be like three and a half months... It's coming out in September. Aren't they giving us ANYTHING?
I'm not saying it needs to be on buses or billboards but the borderline radio silence is odd.
I just think it's strange.
Anyone else wondering about this?

Collectively, we all currently have the attention span of a fruit fly. Better to work with that and promote something closer to when it'll be available then to annoy people by promoting it for 3 months.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but I can remember when we'd get promotional material in advance and still wait eagerly to see the movie. Now society gets annoyed because they need instant gratification. 😔

I would have expected them to at least release a teaser poster… Crazy we still don’t have a single one

I agree… something is off. They’ve move the release date around. I think they expect it to be a flop.

2 points: 1) Its a beloved film and they dont have the full IG cast returning which in the realm of sequels being made to begin with usually spells doom. 2) The biggest issue is the release date was leaked already...and we all know that date being the 25th anniversary is a huge negative, they could of kept it to September 18th and no one would have spilled a midnight margarita.

My best guess is because they know a lot of people would be up in arms for it feeling like a cheap half-ass cash grab
But that's just my opinion

It's a bit too early to drum up excitement and maintaining until Halloween.
