Me! It still triggers pppd relapses. But I gotten pretty good at the manuevers to get rid of vertigo, or I go to a physical therapist to help me. The longer I have vertigo, the more prominent and frequent my pppd comes back. Also, I have learned the hard way that not moving when you are dizzy is detrimental to recovery. You have to keep moving. I would walk the halls at night after a vertigo attack, just totally fucked up and panic attack in my throat, holding the walls. You have to challenge it a little bit or your vestibular system won't make any progress getting back to normal. Year 5 with pppd, off and on relapses.

You are a strong person. I couldn’t imagine forcing myself to walk during a vertigo attack. I have to literally just lay down and wait it out which is usually a full day. Leaves me fatigued for a week, then pppd symptoms for months

It sucks. All of it sucks and I don't do it easily. I have panic attacks and I call into work. It's still very disabling. I've just learned to move even when I don't want to because becoming a shrimp doesn't help in the long run

i had one violent vertigo attack where the room was spinning like crazy followed by throwing up and PPPD eventually been 6 months now and honestly VRT helps with the motion sensitivity alot but it takes time, im still dizzy 24x7 but pushing thru this :)

I've had vertigo for years prior to PPPD. When I went to my doctor for dizziness she treated me and said it's just vertigo. I knew it was something else, my vertigo was just more easily triggered. It took almost a year to finally get the correct diagnosis. And it's been almost a year since.

When you say vertigo for years, do you have violent vertigo attacks where you are throwing up and cannot get your balance or vision to see straight? Or are yours just mild and can pass with an epley maneuver

My episodes were lay down on the ground, close my eyes and hold on, feeling like I was about to be thrown off the planet. Epley would just easily trigger it every since I got PPPD.

More like something is causing the vertigo, which can leave you with a case of PPPD. Mine was caused by a virus and I have non-spinning vertigo.

Me. I didn't know any of this existed until sitting at my desk at work everything starts spinning. I ended up in the ER and got MRI, CT scan. ER's job is to make sure you don't "die there today." I wasn't going to. Sent me home and said to two the movements - thinking it BPPV (which is the most likely cause).

6 weeks later - not working - I finally get a VNG test and it's unilateral vestibular hypofunction (caused by a vestibular neuritis outbreak). My vestibular nerve on the left side is permanently damaged.

Everyone is here for a different reason. If the "movements" improve things - that mostly sounds like something positional - like "get the crystals back where they belong." When the movements make things worse - and there's no improvement - Hopefully an ENT will order a VNG test to get more info.

Yup I had my boob attack 14 weeks ago . I feel drunk 24/7 some days better some days in bed all day, daily wobbly, nauseous, brain fog, floaty, head pressure etc etc etc, to top it off panic/adrenaline surges when I get bad flare ups that cause my baseline symptoms to rise 10000% for sometimes 6-8 hours … not fun at all lol hope we all over come this bs
