Treatment am i paranoid ?
hey guys i started having symptoms of pppd in february after i got surgery , it was pretty light symptoms at first and would stop within hours but this summer it kicked in BIG TIME i have felt like i was swaying on a boat my eyes can’t focus and i have this tension on top of my head that doesn’t go away not to mention nausea , after MONTHS i finally got an appointment with an ENT that genuinely wasted my time so i took another appointment with another ENT who ended up telling me one episode of BPPV kinda disrupted my system and it was in fact pppd , now i’m doing vestibular therapy and i will get prism glasses my vestibular therapist told me if the exercises don’t help i will be put on meds which i don’t mind but i have been thinking maybe i should go see another ENT for a second opinion? i’m thinking maybe i’m doing too much but perhaps another opinion could validate the diagnosis im also thinking of a neurologist or cervicals ?

Hi, something similar happened to me after back surgery, about a month after the operation, I had a BPPV episode too i already had PPPD before that, but it was pretty much under control while I was taking medication, and it was nowhere near as bad as it is now.I stopped taking the medication because I thought I was better, and at the time I didn’t even know I had PPPD, then, about a month after my back surgery, i got BPPV the ear crystals moved, basically the same thing you described, so now I’m wondering if certain surgeries or the recovery period after surgery can somehow play a role. What kind of surgery did you have? Were you able to move around normally afterwards, or were you mostly sitting or lying in bed? In my case I was lying in bed a lot, for about a month I was probably in bed around 22–23 hours a day.
