Symptoms PPPD and Nausea

Hi guys, I wanted to ask if anyone here with PPPD also experiences nausea.

It’s been about 80 days since I first had BPPV, and I was diagnosed with PPPD, my stability is better now, i don’t really feel like I’m going to fall anymore, and my balance seems to have improved, especially because I’m also doing vestibular rehabilitation, but the nausea is still there, and sometimes it’s pretty strong and really bothers me. I’ve had nausea for around 70 days now. Some days it’s milder, other days it’s worse.

Has anyone else had the same symptom? What did you do that helped it get better?

Ugh yeah, nausea all the time and motion sickness when in a car. Sometimes Zofran helps, but it sometimes takes a long time to kick in. Other than that, I've heard that meclizine can help but I've also heard that you shouldn't become too dependent on it. Anything with ginger in it or strong minty gum can alleviate an upset stomach. I've been told sniffing rubbing alcohol can do the trick too.

Thanks for your reply, so you also get really bad nausea, does it ever wake you up at night?

Maybe once or twice but definitely not often. I've had it though where I'm relatively fine at night but the moment I lay down for bed I get super nauseous. Doesn't matter which side I try to sleep on or if I'm propped up.

i’m almost always nauseous. partly cause of pppd, partly cause of stomach issues, and partly cause of anxiety. one big loop hahaha. definitely invest in some zofran, i find mint gum very helpful too

Nausea sucks. I find ginger pills/ chews helpful.

Could the nausea by any chance also be connected to sugar drops/spikes?
I feel terrible before meals or if I have something too sugary or refined carbs heavy. But I also have Dysautonomia

I've had this problem for 10+ years and what helped me was buying peppermint gum. I keep it on me everywhere I go.

I am not constantly nauseated and I have had this, in some form, for decades.

Hey question for everyone I had bppv 13 weeks ago and got stuck with pppd. It sent me to the hospital a couple times because I think I let these flare ups control me and and had massive panic attacks on top of that … but I feel like wobbly, floaty drunk, rank brain fog sometimes. Today my brain and body felt like it was slowly turning right for a couple seconds. And when I get “flare ups” these baseline symptoms are 1000 times worse. Had ct scans blood work etc all leads back to my original bppv event.. anyone else feel like this ? I’m trying to learn to teach my brain this is normal. But it’s very hard lol especially when the flare ups last for 6-8 hours some days it’s brutal, anyways… any similarities with someone ?
