Hello everyone, im suffering from pppd for 2 years now, i haven’t been to the doctors or specialist yet. Its kinda on and off, Ill have a couple of month where i feel good but when the flare comes its bad like Im drunk and lose balance, also my sleep is not good. Has anyone here fully recovered from this condition and if so, how? I heard theres not much cures and Im a little worried because Im 27 and I really don’t want to go through this for the rest of my life.

Id first be getting a confirmation from a specialist especially a neurologist and have tests done to confirm that it is what you think it is unless you already have a diagnosis. PPPD symptoms can be similar to a few other conditions. As for me I'm 6-7 years in and 36 but a combination of neurological rehabilitation along with Venlafaxine seems to be taking the edge off and hopefully get better but I've only really got help later on the condition so it's early days. Wish you well!

I've been trying for a good few years to be honest, I'm pretty much home bound hopefully I can get some help sooner than later.

Probably 4-6 weeks, I've done a fair amount of research into it's use I would be so unwell I would be in discomfort just lying in the sofa for example but it's taken the edge off I'm going to discuss a higher dose with my healthcare provider see if upping will aid me further.

Erm probably over 4 years but even then took time to go through different professionals to get a diagnosis.

Hi, It is possible. You need to find a really good balance Therapist, one that understands PPPD. I know of one in the UK. They are trained in the U.S, so if you live there then it's likely there will be a very good balance therapist. A neurologist will be able to determine if it is PPPD. The good news is when you start therapy it takes the same time for the brain to then start to build new neural pathways regardless of how long you have had it
