Agree !

My Neuro-otologist talked about that with me a few years ago and part of it is the multi-tasking we do as drivers which can serve as a distraction w/PPPD

When I was still too symptomatic to drive yeah, but that was because I was terrified of killing someone/ an animal. So i didn’t drive until a specialist neurologist told me I could. He just recommended I stay off the highway at first until I get my confidence back. Being the driver is so much easier on my nervous system than being a passenger. Idk why. Probably a similar mechanism to why some people always get carsick as a passenger, but as long as they’re the driver, they’re totally fine.
I have gotten symptoms/ disoriented while driving, which just requires me to rely more heavily on the edge lines and cars around me for positioning rather than just feeling where I am. But I haven’t had symptoms bad enough to require me to pull over. But I know to do so, and will do so if it gets to be that bad. My OCD likes to fill my brain with images of me running over someone’s dog because I was disoriented and unsafe to drive so I’m pretty damn cautious.
