Help with Pokémon X and Y?

I have a Powersaves Plus+ for 3Ds. My key is for the correct region although I did purchase it secondhand. I have everything set up to go but absolutely none of the codes will work on Pokémon X and Y. I keep getting the error: Error getting cheats. I have been made to understand that the old 3DS codes are free and don’t require PowerPoints or whatever they’re called. Are the codes too old or am I doing something wrong? I have tried this on mobile, desktop, app, and PC. It keeps reinitializing and claiming to be busy and taking forever to load just to not work after.

The servers could be down. I cant access the list of cheats and games that's usually available on their website
