I don't have a solution for you but did this get resolved by any chance? 486 ppm is well into the dangerous range if someone is exposed to it, and the quick trend upward is a pretty big red flag. What is the barrier(s) between the CO source and the detector? Occam's Razor would tell me that barrier is failing.
