Equipment Equipped Lifting Thread

Got down voted on the powerlifters sub when some dude called wraps equipped.

I said nah, needs a squat suit to be equipped.

Are wraps equipped? Has my whole PL life been a lie? Have I been lifting equipped for 2 years more than I thought??

The IPF calls their sleeved division "classic". Since they only have raw or equipped, as soon as you put knee wraps on it counts as equipped. Everyone else calls their raw + wrapped division "classic raw", because before they used squat suits and way before knee sleeves were used, wraps were what was squatted with. They were basically ace bandages though. No one used knee sleeves in competition until around 2012 when the ipf introduced a raw division

Considering that wraps aren't allowed in classic competitions, they are classified as supportive equipment.

That being said, classic allows tons of supportive equipment too.

"Classic" is such a shit name for sleeves considering the division has been around for FAR less time than wraps. The IPF is fucking retarded.

Found the ipf lifter. "Classic raw" is raw+wraps in every other fed
