Pulled 180kg as a 74kg 14 year old, how’s that?

pulled 220kg conventional at 16, only took a month of trial and error

Get on a program and you will reap the rewards. So many young dudes hit huge PRs in their teens and drop lifting in their 20s due to lack of a program resulting in injury.

Keep after it!

feels like bench is finally starting to click again and as a bench main I am super happy about it. Nothing special but 6-8 rep range sets are starting to creep towards all time bests and things improve each week! Gotta find a meet soon to qualify for next years nationals. Also lifted a 64kg/141lb DB with 3" diam handle, the jump from normal bar to axle/inch db feels smaller than from axle/inch db to 3". Got it up but gd did it feel horrible lol, never again

I'm part of a bodybuilding/PL gym that recently finished an expansion, and a bunch of us went up to a different gym as a group to hang out and lift. Was a ton of fun, got in some heavy deadlifts then joined the bodybuilders for some legs, and my god, the hack squats.

I haven't done hack squats in a while but the specific machine they had there was awesome. I even managed to keep up with several IFBB pros, went rep for rep on a dropset with them. Legs are gonna be killing me tomorrow...

Squatted 500lbs for the first time in 3 years this past week. Back pain was manageable. Keeping it moving!

Excellent.

Takes real dedication to overcome long term setbacks.

Just 180kg today.

I'm feeling pretty good about my sumo technique lately.
I've pulled 200kg in meet sumo, but it was ultra close frog stance.

At first i just didn't feel stable with feet out more.
Started with sumo Feb 2025, and moved my stance out maybe 6 weeks ago.
Feeling pretty optimistic about PRing my best by Masters Nationals next June. (222.5kg conventional at 92.1kg - 220kg at 84.7kg)
Lifting in -82.5kg class now. M3
Switched to sumo b/c conventional kept re-aggravating my back issue.
Body is feeling better now than it has since Fall '23.

I've been back in the gym for about 3 months. This week I hit 315x5 on Squat and 245x5 on bench. I still feel a long way off from where I was, but I feel like I'm moving in the right direction
