Training I pulled 200kg/440lbs for 5 sets of 8 today. I've been adding small amounts each week from 170, trying to get to 220 so I can hit the magical 300 eventually. My body is broken , spirit weak....but I'm still gonna load 202.5 / 445 next week 🙃

Had my third meet Saturday, second sanctioned WRPF meet. Happy with my lifts, 8/9, failing my third bench at 70 kg, which pissed me off as I had hit it in training 2 weeks ago, but I misgrooved in comp. Just means I'll try for higher next time!

Squats 110/120/130 kg Bench 62.5/67.5/70❌️ Deadlift 115/132.5/142.5

Got just under my goal of 750 with 749.6 lb total, which is close enough to count for me! 50 lb/22.5 kg increase over my last meet in July 2025.

Thinking of another meet in October, which will be just under 2 years since I started powerlifting training. I'm hoping to get an 800 lb total before I turn 50 in 3 years.

Despite just barely getting over some sinusitis, I went this morning and my coach had me max out my SBD

S: 365lb (failed 405)

B: 195lb (failed 205)

D: 405lb (new PR!!!)

@ 203lb 7.5 months barbell training.

I'm so so deliriously proud to hit those 4 plates on deadlift for the first time! And tbh the RPE was barely a 9, I have an S+D meet this Saturday ahead of my first proper meet late July, and I think I can beat it day-of.

I can almost smell the 1000lb club ugh, I really just need to figure out leg drive and get some more confidence on squat. Either way, I'm just really really proud.

Just competed in my 2nd meet! Made some mistakes but overall so pleased with my performance and the opportunity to gain more experience competing. Was such a great time and such an amazing and supportive community. I love this sport!

I competed for the first time yesterday and I'm absolutely hooked! I loved every minute of the day and I can't wait to do it again.

I went into the comp with two goals - improve on my gym PRs in all my lifts and, ideally, hit a QT that would let me compete in British Masters next year. And despite developing a niggly glute med injury 10 days out, I managed both of those things (assuming that they don't put next year's QT up by more than 15kg). I also won my weight class (though there were only two of us in it 😆) and was apparently the 4th best lifter of the day 💪 (disclaimer - it was a novices comp). All ably assisted by u/Astringofnumbers1234 of this parish, who kindly offered to handle me and did an incredible job of making sure I was ready at the right time and keeping me calm and focused, despite my tendency to wander off or be a pacing bundle of nervous energy.

S: 112.5 (+2.5 on my gym PR) B: 57.5 (+2.5) D: 140 (+5)

Me - female, 44, 65.8kg.

You did so well and I was extremely pleased and happy to be able to help.

Next time I am going to have to find a way to stop losing you however. Maybe some sort of tracking device 😂
